Ms. Heinen’s preschool class has been busy learning about and exploring their five senses by using all their senses. To help remember what they are and how to use them, the students have been singing a song to the tune of B-I-N-G-O.

It goes like this…

“I have five senses that I use to help me learn each day.
See, hear, smell, taste, touch
See, hear, smell, taste, touch
See, hear, smell, taste, touch
I use them every day.”

The preschool class used their five senses to make snowmen. They used the sense of sight to paint, cut, and glue correctly. For the sense of hearing, they need to listen carefully in order to follow directions to make him. The sense of smell was used smell the mixture of shaving cream and glue that was used to make the snowmen. They tasted crushed ice– what a snowman would taste like– and said, “He tastes just like water!” They used their sense of touch to finger paint.

Our preschool students discovered they really do use all five senses to learn each day!
