If you follow The Calais School’s blog then you know from past posts that our Halloween celebrations never disappoint. This year was no different…Calais School students and staff enjoyed a full day of Halloween fun and festivities.
It was a blast seeing our faculty and staff members in their cartoon inspired costumes! We had the cast of Peanuts, Winnie the Pooh, Dino, Barney and Fred from The Flintstones, and even the Chipmunks popped in for a bit. If there was a winner for best costume it would most definitely go to our principal, Dr. Manno and Vice Principal Mr. Sokolewicz who channeled Mary Poppins and her fateful Chimney Sweep. Their costumes were spot on from the carpet bag to the soot on Mr. S’s face…well done!
After lunch, our lower school students donned their costumes for our annual Halloween parade. We lucked out as it was a beautiful day to march around the Calais School and show off our costumes!
High school students were busy all week planning the Halloween dance and preparing their costumes. The class representatives did a great job decorating the gym. Everyone finally got to enjoy their hard work with a mummy wrapping contest, healthy snacks, good music and plenty of dancing.
