Ms. Braen and Ms. Heinen’s classes celebrated Read Across America week with a series of special events last week.  A variety of Calais staff members enjoyed reading stories written by Dr. Seuss to our students. A wonderful time was had by all!

Read Across America is a program created by the National Education Association. NEA’s Read Across America is an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading on March 2, the birthday of beloved children’s author Dr. Seuss. Motivating children to read is an important component in student achievement.
