The Calais School celebrated our Thanksgiving holiday our annual feast for students and staff. Mrs. Russo, Mrs. Eilert and our culinary students prepared a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for all of us. Turkey, stuffing, macaroni and cheese, two kinds of sweet potatoes, green beans, gravy, and cranberry sauce.
Every year the food is delicious, but the highlight of the day were the speeches and words of wisdom the high school class representatives shared. Sydney L. summed up the day’s sentiments very well:
I would just like to say thank you to all of the wonderful staff and students who put this event together so we can celebrate this holiday together. I am so thankful to be part of this school because it doesn’t just feel like a school. It feels like one big family. So once again, thank you everyone!
We have so much to be thankful for here at Calais. Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving overflowing with love and laughter!
