The Calais School is proud to announce 3D technology in the classroom as part of the school’s CREATE 3D program. Thanks to a technology grant from Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation in East Hanover, CREATE 3D (Creative Real-world Engaging Alternative Technology Education) enhances the current STEM curriculum with new 3D printers in the computer lab for elementary and high school student use.
3D printing technology allows students to engage with their work & see projects come to life in an exciting & tangible way. It also fosters an environment of creative learning from each project’s inception to its creation. This creative environment allows children to learn by imagining and, through creative and collaborative group projects, enhances social & emotional thinking skills.
Novartis Pharmaceuticals in East Hanover has been a longtime supporter of The Calais School. Their commitment to supporting education, science, health, and technology initiatives in our community has greatly improved the classroom experience for our students. Most recently, Novartis generously provided funding for Chromebooks in high school classrooms and iPads for students in third through eighth grade.
