After many years of dedicated service, The Calais Foundation bids a warm and grateful farewell to David Rostan, who is stepping down from his role on our Board of Directors.
David has been an integral part of the Foundation’s work to support children and young adults with special needs. His professional expertise, steady guidance, and genuine compassion have helped strengthen our mission and expand the programs that make a difference in the lives of Calais students and their families.
In his farewell message to the Board, David shared:
“I wanted to thank you and everyone else on the Foundation Board for the many years of collaboration and friendship. I will continue to serve on the school board and be available for legal seminars such as guardianship or entitlement law as part of Foundation programs or in other ways I might be helpful. Once again, thanks!”
While we are sad to see David retire from the Foundation Board, we are deeply grateful for the many ways he has shared his time, wisdom, and heart with the Calais community—and thrilled that he will continue to serve on The Calais School Board and remain involved through legal education and advocacy programs.
David’s impact on The Calais Foundation will be felt for years to come. His thoughtful leadership, commitment to students, and belief in the power of opportunity have left a lasting legacy.
Thank you, David, for your service, friendship, and continued dedication to the mission of Calais. You will always be part of the Calais family.
