Wendy Davies
Hands down the favorite activity in Mrs. Davies’s class is the swimming pool. A close second is eating the wonderful food prepared by the students and staff working with Mrs. Russo. In addition to eating and swimming, the class has participated in a number of educational activities.
We started off the summer program by joining Mrs. Reich’s class in a mock trial. Students chose to be the judge, opposing lawyers, the defendant or members of the jury. It gave us an introduction to the United States justice system. We practiced math skills by coloring in graph art and using tangrams to create different shapes. We also made different types of paper airplanes and measured the flight distance. We sorted and classified various sea shells and learned about different ocean creatures. The students are looking forward to other activities offered during the rest of the extended school year.
