Dear Calais families,
Welcome back from Winter Break! I hope everyone was able to rest, recharge, and enjoy time with family and friends. It’s hard to believe we’re already stepping into 2026, and even harder not to feel excited about all that lies ahead for our Calais community.
As we reflect on the first half of the school year, there is so much to celebrate. We kicked things off with our Annual Calais Family Fun Day, welcoming families and reconnecting with familiar faces. Our Thanksgiving Feast brought everyone together in gratitude (and appreciation for Chef Salaam’s delicious cooking!), followed by a season of giving through our annual “Stuff the Bus” Food Drive and Calais Toy Drive. We closed out the year with joy and creativity—from our festive winter concert to the always-impressive winter door decorating contest, which filled our halls with school spirit.
Now, as we settle back into our January routines, there is plenty to look forward to. The months ahead are filled with engaging classroom learning, a Valentine’s Day dance, and one of our most anticipated traditions—the Annual Chili Cook-Off! We also hope to see you at The Calais Foundation’s Annual Gala this Spring- more info to come on that front.
I would also like to extend a heartfelt thank-you, on behalf of the entire Calais School Administration, to all the families and friends who supported The Calais Foundation 2025 Annual Appeal. Thanks to your generosity, we raised over $$8,370, to directly support programs and opportunities that will make a meaningful difference for our students.
Thank you for being such an important part of the Calais community.
Warmly,
Theresa Fritzky
