Following the success of the 2020 virtual conference, the Alliance will again provide a series of virtual ZOOM presentations and workshops for parents for its 2021-2022 Conference. The goal of the renewed series to to ensure that parents and advocates are informed about the range of program options available to meet the varying special needs of children, teens and young adults with disabilities.

Topics include Compensatory Education and the Pandemic, College Options for Students with Disabilities, Student Safety, Gender Identity and Sexuality in Students with Autism, AT and Independence in Schools, and more.

The next event, Compensatory Education and the Pandemic: Rights and Considerations, is scheduled for February 8th, 2022 from 7 pm – 8:15 pm.  Many parents and school districts are recognizing the effects of interrupted learning on students with disabilities and asking about whether compensatory education is needed. In this program, learn from one of New Jersey’s leading legal experts about the rights of students with disabilities to compensatory education.
