Every Friday morning Mrs. Davies’s and Mr. Rosocha’s reading groups join forces and read plays together. Many classics including Oliver Twist, Tom Sawyer, and The Invisible Man, have been adapted into plays for the students’ enjoyment. They’ve also read plays about the discovery of King Tut’s tomb and the first flight of the Wright brothers. A great time is had by all participants.

We also celebrated the great job our musicians and cheerleaders did at Tuesday’s basketball game with an ice cream social this afternoon. Their talent and enthusiasm helped motivate our team and get the crowd going.

We’ve had a great week at The Calais School. Next week our SLE students are continuing their work assignments the library, Sunnyfield Learning Center, the Randolph Diner, and graphic design company Media Tree.  We’re also looking forward to a field trip to see the PaperBag Players and our basketball team will play their first away game against ECLC.

Have a happy and safe weekend!
