We have been celebrating our faculty and staff this week for Teacher Appreciation Week. Our team of teachers, assistants, counselors, LDTCs, related service providers and one-to-one aides do so much for our students every day and we thank them for their hard work and dedication.
We celebrated Teacher Appreciation Day yesterday with a staff luncheon to say thank you, but kicked off the week with breakfast on Tuesday and the announcement that three of our staff members were nominated for ASAH awards for Teacher of the Year, Related Service Provider of the Year, and Paraprofessional of the Year. These awards identify and reward staff who have exhibited outstanding professional expertise and accomplishment in the field of special education and are representatives of the schools they serve.
We are happy to announce that Mrs. Vitaletti, Mrs. Braen, and Ms. Ramos have been nominated and will be considered for awards in their respective categories. Each one of them bring so much of themselves to our students and staff and are model representatives of our Calais family. They are each compassionate, hard-working, dedicated individuals who brighten everyone’s day. We are so happy they are being recognized for their contributions!
ASAH is a not-for-profit organization of more than 125 private schools and agencies in New Jersey which provide specialized services to more than 11,000 infants, children and young adults with disabilities. Award finalists will be invited to their Annual Conference in November.
We hope to see each one of the nominees there!
