The Calais School Faculty and Staff came together on Thursday, June 21, 2018 to say farewell to a faculty member that has truly been a fixture at The Calais School, Elementary teacher Mrs. Tacinelli.

Mrs. Tacinelli, who is retiring, was a member of our faculty for 31 years. Lovingly referred to as the “Grammar and Penmanship Queen,” she touched the lives of the many students she taught as well as the fellow faculty and staff members she worked with everyday. Dedicated to her craft, she often spent nights staying well passed school hours making finishing touches to her lesson plans and thoroughly reviewing the work of her students.

Mrs. Tacinelli was surprised with a luncheon which included some kind words shared by our Principal, Dr. Manno and fellow Elementary teacher Mrs. Davies. After the heartfelt speeches, Mrs. Tacinelli was presented with a card, gift and bouquet of flowers. She shared her appreciation for all the love and support with a teary eyed thank you to everyone.

We will miss Mrs. Tacinelli and wish her a wonderful retirement and lots of luck in the next chapter of her life!
