Even before the deep freeze of winter was gone, the students in Mrs. Bellot’s Floral Design & Landscaping classes were out tending to The Calais School garden.
Cleaning up the garden was a huge task and the students are learning a lot about teamwork, having patience and the value of hard-work. Now the fun begins with garden layout and selecting what will be planted for the 2019 harvest! This year we are looking forward to watching the watermelon, squash, potatoes, tomatoes, pumpkins, gourdes, asparagus, corn, zinnias, and sunflowers grow!
The students have already began a nursery in the Floral Design classroom and things are really starting to sprout!
