It’s so hard to believe how quickly summer has flown by. I hope you all had a fantastic and enjoyable break and are ready to take on an exciting new school year. I’m thrilled to welcome both returning and new students, as well as their families, to the 2024/2025 school year. Let’s begin this journey with a shared dedication to excellence, collaboration, and personal growth.

We’ve been busy preparing for September and have some exciting new updates to share. We have purchased a new 15-seater van that will be used for our Community-Based Instruction starting in October. We look forward to seeing the many new aspects of our greater community that this van will enable our students to explore. We have also purchased additional equipment for our News Production and Robotics programs.  

I encourage everyone to get involved in the Calais community in any way you can. Joining the Calais PTO is a great way to start, but there will be plenty of events as well as volunteer and sponsorship opportunities throughout the year. Below are some upcoming dates to remember:

  • Back to School Night is on September 19th
  • Pastries with the Principal on September 30th
  • Family Fun Day on October 6th

And don’t forget to follow the Calais School and The Calais Foundation on Facebook  (@thecalaisschool @calaisfoundation) and Instagram (@thecalaisschool @calaisfoundation). It’s a great way to stay in the know and get a feel for what student life is like throughout the school year!
