On January 9th, Tania from Lincoln Technical Institute visited The Calais School to speak to the 11th grade, 12th grade and 12+ students about post-secondary school options. Tania fielded questions about programs offered at Lincoln Tech,  a trade school with campuses throughout New Jersey. They offer a variety of areas of study including automotive technology, medical & medical office assistant, culinary arts and more:

Since 1946, Lincoln Technical Institute has continued the tradition of helping students achieve professional success through personalized career support and job-specific education. With campuses throughout the United States, our career training schools emphasize a hands-on approach that puts students at the forefront of the technology, skills and expertise needed to excel in their chosen profession. Plus, our Certificate, Diploma and Associate degree programs are designed to accelerate entry into the workforce for Careers That Build America.

Lincoln Tech emphasizes industry-specific job skills like the ones Calais Career and Technical Education (CTE) hone in their classes and internships.

Calais students were particularly interested in the Business & IT programs, which include A+ Certification, Networking + and Security + Certification Preparation and business administration programs. Tania informed us that Lincoln Tech reviews current Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and fulfills most testing accommodations and supports necessary for student success. They also provide career counseling, offer resume assistance and help students hone their interviewing skills.
