One of the highlights of the 2021-2022 school year is the new “Cougars on the Clock” daily show. Made by students for students, the show has turned morning announcements into a high energy and highly anticipated daily event.

The media-course class project features a weekly weather forecast, school news, birthday shout-outs and a joke of the day. Mrs. Tobin teaches the elective with Mr. Gerry Aquino and Mr. Tony Martin.
The show is a collaboration of 17 hand-selected students. Students work infront and behind the camera to film shows on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The final videos are posted on a private YouTube channel. Each day a new edition is released for in-class viewing to the entire school.
Some featured special presentations have included performances by the Calais Chorus. Other fun segments include checking in with the culinary program where viewers get to see all the delicious things students are cooking with Chef Kevin Tulloch.
“We have received lots of positive feedback. Students enjoy seeing their hard work as a final product being seen and talked about by the entire school.” said Mrs. Brittany Tobin.
Prior to production, students were polled to decide on a name for the show. There were several options initially but in the end, the school voted and “Cougars on the Clock” was selected.
