This week, occupational therapy students incorporated fine motor skills, visual processing, sensory processing, sequencing and self-help skills to make Canine Cookies as a part of the Therapeutic Facilitation™ Program. Students created a shopping list based off the recipe and gathered ingredients from a shelf.
Once ingredients were acquired, students worked together to measure the ingredients and then mix the Canine Cookie dough. Students used their hands to roll the dough into small balls and press them flat to create the cookie shape. The cookies were then transferred into the refrigerator for storage.
Cleo is looking forward to enjoying these treats and sharing them with her best friend Cali!
