As we close the door on another successful basketball season, we have to recognize our community for all their hard work this season. The basketball team is made up of nine players and two managers, but the entire student population is involved in one way or another in our games. Whether as fans, spirit squad members, SLE workers, Calais staff, or as basketball team members, everyone has a part in the success of this basketball season. Thank you to everyone for their help and support this year!
Our community is proud of the way our team never quit this season. We faced many challenges this season, but the team always played together and always had each other’s back. That is a big reason in why our team was able to qualify for the playoffs for a third consecutive season! After a come-from-behind win at home verse Banyan, The Calais School clinched the fourth seed in the playoffs. We knew we were going to have our hands full in the playoffs as we played the number one seed in the league, Cornerstone. Nonetheless, our team went into the playoffs knowing we had a shot to win the game. The game did not end as we had hoped, but we learned a lot from it and we were happy to continue our streak of qualifying for the playoffs. We made a list of goals this season and we were able to accomplish the majority of them. We look forward to seeing what next season has in store for us!
