In celebration of The Calais School’s 50th Anniversary we are sharing personal stories from members of the Calais Community.
Meet, Susan Greenbaum, dog handler for The Calais School’s Animal Assisted Interventions (AAI) Program. Susan facilitates Animal Assisted Therapy with her three dogs: Dunkin, Gideon, and Orbit. This meaningful work helps students with special needs reach their therapeutic goals while also building their confidence and self-esteem. “Calais offers the opportunity to work with students over months and years, to follow their progress, and see them grow,” she said.
You can learn more about Susan’s commitment to helping students with special needs through AAI on our website. #mycalaisstory #exceedyourpossibilities #thecalaisschool #calaisfoundation #specialeducation
