The Cougars played their final regular season home game in front of a packed audience verses The Craig School. It was a very physical and challenging game and Calais was fortunate enough to be ahead for most of the game. In the final seconds The Craig School made the go ahead foul shot which sealed the victory. Our team was disappointed initially and the loss has given us a lot to learn from. Since our game didn’t end exactly as we had hoped for last week, we were really looking forward to this week’s game at Benway. After one of our hardest weeks of practice of the season we were looking forward to trying some new plays and strategies. Coaches and players have been working hard to make corrections and continue to improve as the season progresses. In a game that featured a balanced offense with great passing and teamwork, Calais was able to win the game 39-29.

Special congratulations to Rory who had a season high 6 points and Ryan who scored a season high 9 points.  It was amazing to watch all their hard work in practice pay off. The Calais School basketball team looks forward to closing out our regular season after break with a game at Deron.
