Our students have been hard at work as we wrap up the first month of school.

Mrs. Perillo’s class found inspiration in nature and the poetry of Robert Louis Stevenson. They posted the poem “Autumn Fires” outside their classroom along with their artwork:

Ms. Vallo’s classes have set up The Calais Business Center, where students have been taking and fulfilling orders from around the school. Students make copies, cut letters, and take care of general office duties as part of our Career and Technical Education program.

Ms. Palmisano and her students always work on social skills in speech lessons. The Homophone of the Week and the Idiom of the Week help students expand their vocabulary.

We’re looking forward to a great autumn here at The Calais School!
