On Thursday January 10th, The Calais Cougars home opener was filled with high energy and great teamwork.

Our basketball team was cheered by the spirit squad, pep band, and the whole school as they played their first home game against Windsor Prep. With the high school classes, staff and Calais administration in attendance, our team really wanted to have their best game and demonstrate what they have been working on in practice. The game was highlighted by Ryan and Rory, who showed tremendous progress with boxing out and proper positioning. Their efforts really helped make our other players jobs a little easier. Calais defeated Windsor Prep 29-13, and improved to 2-0 on the season.

Special thanks to Mr. Aquino and Ms. Roberts as they led the pep band and spirit squad which send the basketball team positive vibes throughout the game. The Calais Cougars will look to continue to build momentum  as we head to ECLC of Chatham next Wednesday.
